"Inume Pass in Kai Province" by Katsushika Hokusai.

This canvas is a reproduction of " Inume Pass in Kai Province ", depicting Mount Fuji as seen from the foot of a hill, and was painted by the iconic Japanese painter Katsushika Hokusai in the1830s.

It shows Mount Fuji rising into the sky, piercing the setting sun with its snow-capped peak. Japanese workers and horses climb a mountain in Kai province.

The Japanese text at the top left of the canvas is Hokusai's signature and the title of his work. Literally, it reads "Series 36 views of Mount Fuji -Inume Pass in Kai Province " " Hokusai Itsu".

ATTENTION: The frame is not supplied with the canvas, so we leave 4 to 5 centimeters of margin on each edge to be able to add reinforcement.

  • Material: This reproduction is printed on a high-definition waterproof canvas made of cotton and polyester. This texture and the thickness of this paper are particularly suitable for the reproduction of prints, ensuring a high degree of fidelity to the original work.
  • Artistic movement: This print of Mount Fuji is part of ukiyo-e, an artistic movement from the Edo period (1603-1868) that can be translated as "image of the floating world".
  • Style: Japanese landscape
  • Colors: As with all the works in the "Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji" series, the main color of this print is Prussian blue.
  • Year of production (original): Between 1831 and 1833
